Maradona’s lawyer demands investigation into Argentine legend’s death

Diego Maradona’s lawyer Matias Morla wants an investigation into the Argentine legend’s death, saying ‘No attention for 12 hours and the ambulance took more than half an hour to arrive’.

Maradona died of a cardiac arrest yesterday and his lawyer Morla doesn’t want what he calls an ‘inexplicable’ and ‘idiotic crime’ to be overlooked.

“Today is a day of deep sorrow, sadness and reflection,” he said in an official statement, according to Calciomercato.com as cited by Football Italia.

“I feel in my heart the loss of a friend whom I’ve honoured with loyalty until the last day. I greeted him in person, the funeral must be an intimate and familiar moment.

“According to what the San Isidro Prosecutor said, it’s inexplicable that for 12 hours, Diego didn’t have any attention or control from the medical personnel.

“The ambulance took more than half an hour to arrive, it was an idiotic crime. This fact must not go unnoticed and I ask that you investigate until the end.”

“As Diego told me: ‘You are my soldier, who works without mercy’.
